Meet Linda Tucker:

A Bowie neighbor.
A survivor.
A public servant.

Linda Tucker has called Bowie home since 1997. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Political Economy from New York University before moving to Maryland after marrying the man of her dreams.

Linda and her husband raised three children in Bowie. When she first moved here, she joined the city’s Civic Affairs Committee, helping plan Bowiefest, July 4th celebrations, and holiday events. Years later, she came full circle by working for the City of Bowie in the Special Events Department, serving residents through community relations.

Over the past decade, Linda beat Stage 4 colon cancer, helped fight the Maglev train from damaging our community, served as a USA Swimming official, and joined the Board of Directors of Ardmore Enterprises, a nonprofit supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties.

Linda is running because Bowie needs leadership that listens to residents, protects green space, spends taxpayer dollars responsibly, and opens the doors of City Hall.

Her promise: accountable leadership, transparent decisions, and a city government that puts Bowie residents first.
